DESCRIPTION:Hands on learning about the natural world at our sustainable food education charity – learn how to grow vegetables\, support wildlife and care for our planet. \n\n\n\nThis session is a one off session in a series of 5 sessions this term: \n\n\n\n22/4 Super seeds! – Dissect seeds at various stages of growth to explore the wonder of germination \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDesigned to inspire your children to get outside and active with focused activities to engage and inspire them to learn more about the natural world. \n\n\n\nThe Field School at Communigrow is a relaxed outdoor setting where young people can be themselves. \n\n\n\nExperienced tutors and absorbing activities mean that everyone\, including those with anxiety or sensory needs\, feels comfortable. \n\n\n\nWhilst acquiring valuable practical skills\, learners grow in confidence and experience the mental health benefits that come with spending time in nature. \n\n\n\nRegistration at 9.20 am\, session runs 9.30am – 10.45am \n\n\n\nGood to know: \n\n\n\n\nThese sessions are for children (ages 6-11). SUMMARY:Spring into Spring! Family Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Get hands on with nature at a Communigrow Family Workshop this Easter holiday. In this fascinating 90 minute session you will: \n\n\n\n\nGo on a slimy safari to discover the secrets of slugs and snails.\n\n\n\n\n\nMake clay snail decorations.\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn how to pot up some super seedlings to take home.\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy a hot chocolate and toast marshmallows around the fire!\n\n\n\n\nChoose from the morning session from 10.30am-12pm (registration at 10.20am) or afternoon session starting at 1.30pm-3pm (registration at 1.20pm). \n\n\n\n*Both adults and children require a ticket*  \n\n\n\nThis session is aimed at families with children aged 4-12 and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. \n\n\n\nFor any questions relating to this event\, please email education@communigrow.org.uk \n\n\n\n*Please note tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to another event. If you are unable to attend\, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else (please let us know the name and email address of the attendee)\, otherwise your ticket fee will be considered a donation to Communigrow.

SUMMARY:Get Set for Spring! Home Ed Sessions ages 4-11
DESCRIPTION:This is a block of 6 sessions running every Tuesday from 25th February 2025. \n\n\n\nAs winter moves into Spring these sessions offer a chance to get ready for the new growing season. We will spend as much time outside as possible\, but have our cosy yurt for colder days. Help with practical gardening tasks\, craft useful items\, harvest and cook seasonal veg and keep track of wildlife.  \n\n\n\nDesigned to inspire your children to get outside and active with focused activities to engage and inspire them to learn more about the natural world. \n\n\n\nThe Field School at Communigrow is a relaxed outdoor setting where young people can be themselves. \n\n\n\nExperienced tutors and absorbing activities mean that everyone\, including those with anxiety or sensory needs\, feels comfortable. \n\n\n\nWhilst acquiring valuable practical skills\, learners grow in confidence and experience the mental health benefits that come with spending time in nature. \n\n\n\nRegistration at 10.50 am\, session runs 11am – 12pm \n\n\n\nGood to know: \n\n\n\n\nThese sessions are for children (ages 4-11).
