Who We Help

Our mission is to use sustainable horticulture to educate, support and inspire everyone in our community by enriching their lives and, for disadvantaged groups, by achieving greater independence.

We provide accessible horticultural experiences where people in our community can work collaboratively to appreciate and understand how food is grown and the many benefits it offers to their health and wellbeing.

Young People & Families

Communigrow connects children and young people to nature, food and the world around them. It is hugely beneficial to get out of the classroom and take learning outside. This fosters a love of the natural world, through growing vegetables, harvesting, cooking, pond dipping, building natural habitats, woodwork and outdoor play.

Gardening to Feel Great

Our therapeutic gardening sessions are for the over 55s and people with long term health conditions. Focusing on mental and physical wellbeing, they provide an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills, reducing social isolation and loneliness.

Volunteering

Our Volunteering sessions are open to all. A great opportunity to improve physical and mental wellbeing and meet new people while supporting a fantastic charity.

Businesses looking beyond the office

We are so grateful to the local businesses and organisations that choose us for Away Days, as a community partner, or who support us with donations and materials. This has a transformative effect on our charity; we think it can have a transformative effect on an organisation’s sense of place, wellbeing and involvement too.
