Spectacular Spring sessions for children in Home Education at our sustainable food education charity.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of our Field School educational activities and give children the chance to learn and appreciate nature, food and the world around them.
Programme of learning:
16/4 Super seeds – learn all about germination and create a plant maze to take home
23/4 Practical – Spring is in full swing and there will be lot jobs to do sowing seeds and looking after seedlings
30/4 ‘Off with their heads’- investigate the structure of flowers by carefully dissecting them
7/5 Practical – May is one of the busiest times on the field, help us with growing tasks to get the veg in tip top condition
14/5 Pond dipping – discover the creatures making our wildlife pond their home
21/5 Cook up a feast – harvest fresh veg to make a tasty dish
Registration at 9.30am, session runs 9.45am – 10.45am
This is a block of 6 sessions running from Tuesday 16th April, to Tuesday 21st May.
Good to know:
- There is limited space in the yurt so younger siblings and their carers may play in our wooden cabin during the session
- These sessions are for children (ages 4-11). Please book a ticket per participating child. The programme covers 6 lessons (£36 per child)
- Booking is essential.
- Compost toilet and hand washing facilities available on site
- Free parking is available.
