Get Set Grow – Family Workshop

November 22 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Have a great time outdoors at our sustainable food education charity and community garden. Enjoy a screen-free Saturday morning in our family workshops for children aged 4-16 with parents/carers (younger siblings welcome but remain the full responsibility of accompanying adult).

Take part in activities such as:

Digging, planting, harvesting, composting, bug hunting, making habitats for animals. Learn new skills and find out about the fantastic fresh food we grow at our sustainable food education charity and community garden in East Malling.

Now it’s getting colder we will light the log burner and enjoy hot chocolate, tea or coffee in our toasty yurt!

Good to know:

  • Booking is essential.
  • Compost toilet and hand washing facilities available on site
  • Free parking is available.

Fun and educational nature-based activities and crafts for toddlers and preschoolers at our sustainable food education charity with our carbon literacy certified Field School Tutors.

Lots of fun for nature loving tots. Explore our wildfife area, get creative with natural materials and plant some seeds to take home.

Good to know:

• These sessions are for children aged 5 y/o and under. Please purchase a ticket per participating child.

• Maximum of 3 children per adult please.

• All children remain the responsibility of the adult who brings them.

Beautiful Bugs – Family Workshop

August 27 @ 10:30 am – 3:00 pm

Get hands on with nature at a Communigrow Family Workshop this summer holiday in our beautiful charity community garden in East Malling. In this fascinating 90 minute session you will:

  • Use our sweep nets to hunt for bugs
  • Learn all about insect life and how to identify them
  • Learn to look after insects in your garden

Choose from the morning session from 10.30am-12pm (registration at 10.20am) or afternoon session starting at 1.30pm-3pm (registration at 1.20pm).

*Only children require a ticket* 

This session is aimed at families with children aged 4-12 and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Pond Life – Family Workshop

Get hands on with nature at a Communigrow Family Workshop this summer holiday in our beautiful charity community garden in East Malling. In this fascinating 90 minute session you will:
