Eco-Wreath Workshop – Saturday pm

November 28 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

We are delighted to be offering our highly popular eco-friendly wreath making workshops with professional eco-florist and British flower farmer Donna Sellick of @busybblooms.

A really unique experience using sustainably foraged natural materials to create a stunning Christmas wreath on our Communigrow-grown, hand tied willow bases.

The workshops will take place in our beautiful yurt with its cosy wood burning stove and includes festive refreshments.

Escape the madness for a couple of hours and enjoy a sustainable alternative to the usual festive offerings!

This session is aimed at adults, but children aged 14 and older are welcome to book a place with a participating adult.

All proceeds from this event support the work we do at Communigrow.

This booking is for the Saturday afternoon session. Registration is at 12.50pm.

Charity Quiz Night

Join us for a fantastic night of trivia and games at West Malling Primary School all in aid of Communigrow!

Book by Friday 25th September for the early bird rate of £64 per team (up to 8 people).

There will be a raffle and games to support the charity so please bring some cash with you for these.

All proceeds go to support our sustainable food education charity.

Once you have paid for your table you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Thank you for your support!

Autumn Explorers – Home Ed ages 4-10

September 8 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

New, two hour Home Ed sessions at Communigrow! Join us for 6 exciting weeks of seasonal exploration, where children learn through practical activities, scientific investigations, creative projects and gardening in our beautiful community garden in East Malling, Kent.

During your 2 hour sessions you will

– Learn about seasonal changes in autumn.
– Develop practical gardening skills.
– Explore science through observation and investigation.
– Cook using seasonal produce.
– Build confidence working outdoors.
– Create nature-inspired artwork.
– Understand the importance of trees, wildlife and composting.

The Field School at Communigrow is a relaxed outdoor setting where young people can be themselves.

Experienced tutors and absorbing activities mean that everyone, including those with anxiety or sensory needs, feels comfortable.

Whilst acquiring valuable practical skills, learners grow in confidence and experience the mental health benefits that come with spending time in nature.

Registration at 9.50am, session runs 10am – 12pm

Good to know:

  • These sessions are for children (ages 4-10). Please book a ticket per participant. 
  • This ticket is for a block of 6 consecutive sessions staring on Tuesday 8th September.
  • Booking is essential.
  • Compost toilet and hand washing facilities available on site
  • Free parking is available.

Pizza Perfection Family Workshop – additional spaces

Have a great time cooking outdoors at our beautiful sustainable food education charity and community garden in East Malling. Enjoy screen free time together at Communigrow harvesting our fresh, sustainably grown food to create your own pizza and side dishes.

  • Create your own bespoke pizza which we will cook in our pizza ovens
  • Enjoy harvesting fresh veg from our community garden
  • Help prepare a fabulous feast of salads to accompany your pizza!

These sessions are suitable for children and young people aged 4-16 accompanied by a participating adult.
